Authentic Designer Goods on a Budget

We all have been hit by the economic down turn resulting in the need to cut back on certain areas of our lives.  I remember telling my husband a few months ago that I was going to cut back on spending for clothes and accessories.  Let's say this lasted all of ..........3 months!  For the life of me I couldn't figure out why he was not thrilled about this decision.  As we chatted one night he stated "You do not shop for yourself often and having a few new pieces to your wardrobe keeps it SEXY!"

The reason he was OK with me keeping my budget for my style is because I only buy a few items from time to time.  Why?  Because, I feel that purchasing quality is better than quantity.  My goal is shop for nice, reasonable, authentic designer goods.  Buying one nice handbag is equivalent to buying 3 mediocre handbags; that is if you shop right.  My secret is to buy designer goods from the previous season.  You got it!  Most of your friends, family and your spectators will not know its from the previous season, so why not be fashionable and keep money in your pocket at the same time.

Another great tip I've adopted is on fragrances.  Many times our favorite scent is discontinued, but there are web stores that still offer them.  These designer goods you can stock up on and save, especially if you use them daily or give fragrances as gifts.

At the end of the day just remember you can always look good and not totally stop buying your authentic designer goods, as long as you shop smart, know your budget and buy for quality vs. quantity.
