Children's Shopping Tips - How to Save

Today I want to share some children's shopping tips with you.  School is out and your little ones are attending camps, heading to the pools or just outside playing all day.  As parents we want to make sure they are decent and comfortable, but that doesn't mean their clothes have to cost a fortune.

I have 3 little girls.  All 3 LOVE to dress.  My eldest daughter (8) understands that when she's out riding her bike or heading to play softball that she doesn't need to be glamorous.   However, my other 2 feel they need to ALWAYS have glitter and shine.

My #1 advice is: SHOP AROUND!  We get in such a hurry to buy, we forget to look around.  Take the time to look around your local stores for children's clothes, comparing prices.  An extra hour of shopping around is worth saving hundreds.

SHOP ONLINE: Many times we forget that we can shop for our children online.  After you've taken the time to look around the stores or even before you head out the stores, take a quick look online.  Many times the online stores have sales that are not offered in the brick and mortar.  A great site to register and start your online savings is Ebates.  I have been using this site for a couple of years and trust me when I say I've received cash back into my pockets from shopping online.  They cover 1,600 online retailers, many are major retailers.  I LOVE IT!

Yard Sales: Some people turn their noses up to buying someone else's clothing.  Let's think about this......As long as it's in good condition why not?  Take it home, wash, dry and wear it!  I promise you, you're child will not mind.

Don't think you have to spend tons of money on your children's outfits.  Remember, they are just kids and will be outside getting dirty!  Happy shopping!!!
