A Cold Pool Day

My kids are signed up for swim lessons for the next 2 weeks. Monday was nice and warm with the sun beaming down and blinding me.  Tuesday it was nice too, not as bright.  But, today....today was a cold pool day!

The day started out great!  No alarm clocks since my youngest did not have school today (she attends an international school here in Japan) because of parent/teacher conferences.  We took it easy by taking our time getting out of bed (7:30) and making it down for breakfast.  My eldest took on the job of watering a neighbor's flowers while they are away.  For some odd reason they put their water hose in the backyard so I had to help her retrieve it and hook it up.  It was a gloomy out, but didn't give it much thought.  The girls started playing a bit as I stood talking with another neighbor watching my daughter water the plants.  The wind started picking up a bit and giving a cool or should I say cold breeze.

Now it's 11:30, time to head to the pool.  The poor kids were FREEZING!  They shivered the entire time, but they held in there.  Besides the families attending for lessons only 3 other families were in the pool.  It never rained, but it sure was cold.  So here I am with my youngest daughter wrapped in the towels keeping warm as we watched my other 2 in the pool.  Never did I think anyone would find me chilling poolside wrapped up in a towel.  LOL  It's my new fashion statement!
