So I brought him home, made dinner and decided I was going to read a good book. I am really into an author by the name of Linda Castillo. She writes a mystery series based in Amish country. As I read more of her books, I become more fascinated with the Amish culture.
After reading several chapters I grew restless. I am so happy we weren't looking at surgery I decided to treat myself (and M also, as a surprise, shh don't tell! :o) and began to search for something to catch my eye.
I love shopping online. If I know the products I am going to purchase I would much rather have it delivered to my door than to fight a crowd in the mall.
Besides, it was raining this afternoon. I don't do rain. I don't believe in umbrellas. It's just something else for me to carry and try to balance as I'm getting soaked. Not my thing. I'm the type that would rather just hold on to my stuff and run. I won't melt.
I recently gave Mike my iPad and so I began to look for a case for him (an industrial strength one, because R likes to get our electronics in a baby death grip and not let go. He is a fan of Griffin Survivor cases for his phone so that was my first choice. As soon as I saw this one I knew it was the one. These are our hometown college colors. :)

Pretty spiffy, isn't it?? My husband is so easy to shop for. If you get him a tool, or some type of electronic gadget that he can use to mess around with, he's ecstatic. When he's happy, I'm happy, because he usually reciprocates. :)

Now, onto the next phase of my search...hmmm what will strike my fancy today? I don't really need any shoes, besides I really need to try them on before I buy them. In one brand an 8 will fit and another brand will be a 10. I have oddly shaped feet. I prefer not to purchase clothes online, unless I've tried it on in the store or I have several items from a particular store and know what I select will fit. Challenging doesn't begin to describe how difficult it is for me to find clothes that fit. So when I do, I may order or purchase several in different colors.
So clothes were out. But...the seasons have changed and M knows what that means for me-a new handbag!! I haven't had time to purchase one for spring/summer, with the move and starting the adoption process.
Of course I hop on over to my go-to brand for handbags, Coach. I admit it, I am a Coach nut. I found several I liked, but I knew I would be in trouble if I chose more than one. Here are a couple of my choices.
Pink is my favorite color, hands down. As you follow this blog, you will notice that I will post lots of pictures of pink things. What can I say? I'm a girly girl. :)
Pink and brown are two of my favorites. Put them together and I have a winner. Unfortunately, not so much with this one.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore this bag. However, I think the tone of the colors are more suited for fall, and together the tan and darker pink scream October rather than June to me.
Swing packs are a staple in my wardrobe. It's so easy to throw one across my body and not have to worry about dropping it while schlepping the diaper bag, R in his car seat, and the other 137 things I have to carry around at one time. I just wasn't feeling the color on this one either. I love purple, but this particular shade didn't do it for me. Also, my wristlet would not have for in this bag. Lets keep on keepin' on!
And THIS, my friends is THE BAG. I love everything about this bag. The detail is flawless, the raised leather is sumptuous. The blend of colors are perfect. There isn't too much brown or blue; the lightness of the poppies contrast nicely with the darker shades.
The flowers are not white, but a beautiful off white that (hopefully) wont show dirt, baby cereal, or the stray bit of Gerber sweet carrots that make it past my watchful eye.
This bag will go with everything in my wardrobe, which is a necessity when I am shopping for an everyday bag. A pet peeve of mine is switching bags every day. The diaper bag has to be packed every night; I don't want to have to repack my handbag too. It makes me feel like I'm going on vacation then I'm disappointed when I crash back down to reality lol.
I added to my bag, completed the process, and it should be here within 7 business days. It's going to be a long week.
Happy Wednesday friends!
